Application Instructions: Shake well before using. The applied surface temperature should be between 50 and 80ºF. We highly recommend the use of MPT Pre-Cleaner before application of MPT Classic Polish/Finish. Pre-Cleaner prepares the surface by removing surface contaminants and aiding in adhesion. Apply sparingly in a shaded area with a soft cotton cloth or sponge applicator. Allow to dry to a haze before buffing. Buff with a 100% cotton or micro fiber cloth. For ease of application and removal do small areas before moving on to the next section. When complete allow vehicle to bake in the sun to accelerate cure time. Wait a minimum of 4-8 hours between coats.
The special UV inhibitors and conditioners in MPT Classic Polish/Finish protect all non-porous surfaces on automobiles, motorcycles, RVs, ATVs and watercraft to keep them looking new. MPT Classic Polish/Finish can be applied to fiberglass gelcoat finishes to protect from sunlight damage and retard barnacle growth. MPT Classic Polish/Finish can be applied to any nonporous surface including aluminum, stainless steel, brass, glass, ceramic tile, etc. It can also be applied around the home to nonporous surfaces such as polished granite, ceramic tile, glass and Formica. Caution should be used, however, since a long-lasting slippery finish can be dangerous in places (for example, bath tub or shower floor). Do not use on porous surfaces such as fabrics, upholstery, leather, vinyl, etc.
Occasionally on dark colored vehicles, streaking may occur. Temperature, previously used wax products, and buffing cloths are all things that can affect streaking. Streaks can be eliminated by rebuffing the surface with a damp cloth.
FOR REPAINTING ONLY: MPT Classic Polish/Finish may be removed by first washing with a quality car wash detergent, then using 00 steel wool with mineral spirits or Varsol. (This same procedure should be used to remove any wax/polish product from a vehicle before repainting.) Wipe dry and sand with desired grade of sandpaper before repainting.
